Bring the whole family for an afternoon of fun featuring a pulled pork BBQ, family games, pie baking competition, pie raffle, bouncy castles, face painting, and balloon twisting!

📅 Saturday, August 29
📍 Centennial Community Park (small park beside the Agriplex)
🎯 Games: 3–5 PM
🥧 Pie Competition: 4 PM
🍽️ Supper: 5 PM

📣 We’re Hiring! Educational Assistant needed for New Sarepta Playschool

New Sarepta Playschool is looking for a warm, energetic, and reliable Educational Assistant to join our classroom team for the 2026/2027 school year.

This is a fixed-term, part-time position supporting our play-based preschool program for children ages 3 and 4.

Position Details:
📍 Location: New Sarepta Playschool
🗓 Term: September 2026 – June 2027
⏰ Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:45 AM – 12:45 PM
💰 Wage: Up to $20/hour, based on education and experience

The successful applicant will work alongside our classroom teacher to support daily routines, play-based learning, classroom activities, student needs, cleaning/resetting the classroom, and special events or outings throughout the school year.

Preferred qualifications include:
• Educational Assistant Certificate, ECE Level 1, or equivalent training
• Child Care First Aid & CPR
• Experience working with preschool-aged children
• Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

New Sarepta Playschool is a non-profit, parent-run playschool focused on creating a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children can learn, grow, and build confidence.

This month at playschool was short, but it was full of fun, memories, and big milestones! 🥳

We had a wonderful time taking part in the New Sarepta Days Parade, celebrating with our Donuts with Dudes event, releasing our butterflies we watched grow and learned about last month, heading out on our Zoo field trip, and finishing the year with a beautiful graduation evening.

It has been such a joy watching the children learn, grow, make friends, and build confidence throughout the year. We are so proud of each and every one of them.

Thank you to all of our families who helped make this month, and entire school year, so special.

Congratulations to our graduates, and we hope everyone has a safe and happy summer! 🎉☀️

A huge thank you to our New Sarepta Fair Days Parade participants and volunteers!

You all turned out! The parade was HUGE, we nearly wrapped the whole route! And the floats were OUT OF THIS WORLD! Your energy and dedication was awesome and so appreciated!

To our volunteers, thank you for showing up to work, running the behind the scenes and making it possible for everyone to enjoy the day!

It was an amazing day of community and all the best New Sarepta has to offer!

We couldn't have done it without you!

And special shout-out to our mini community members! Our Children's Bike category had 17x the number of riders this year than last! Way to show up for your town!

⭐️This Month at Playschool!🌸

What a wonderful May we've had at playschool!

We kicked things off with our special Muffins with Mom event, where students enjoyed spending time with their moms, sharing delicious muffins, and creating a special craft together.

Our little gardeners have been busy planting and caring for their vegetables in the community garden boxes. The students have loved watching their plants grow and learning about how gardens thrive.

We also explored the fascinating life cycle of butterflies, learning how caterpillars transform into beautiful butterflies through each stage of their journey.

With the arrival of warmer weather, we spent lots of time outdoors enjoying fresh air, active play, and sunshine with our friends.

To finish off the month, students participated in a Bike Rodeo, where they learned important bike safety skills while having fun riding and practicing safe habits.

Thank you to all our families for helping make this month so memorable. Looking forward to June and hopefully some more summer weather! 🦋🚲🌱
