Another great year! Thank you!

I finally have some good news. The broker that I have been working with found a company that will insure our home and the business together. Yippee!

Part 2 of Rant:
Today I was speaking to another insurance company and was told that I am a big risk, so they can't insure me. This is because the other company terminated my house insurance. If you have your insurance terminated within the last 5 years, you are considered a risk and will not be able to be insured. Your past record of making payments on time and not making any claims has no bearing on this decision.
Well, I am not done yet! I just called the company that terminated my insurance and complained about how they have treated me. If that doesn't do anything, I might just have to talk to a news reporter. I am not giving up!

I always wanted to have my own business and I am enjoying working with the children I see each week. My advise, however, is to be aware of insurance companies that want to gouge you. I have had insurance with the same company for 9 years and now they won’t insure me unless I have a professional liability policy along with my business insurance. I filled out all the forms and they were sent in, but the company cancelled my home insurance. This is the first time in 33 years that my house hasn’t been insured and now that same company will not give me a new policy. If you would like to know the name of the company that has done this to me, send me a personal message. I will gladly tell you the name because they will never get anymore business from me. End of rant!

The program is unique and I do think it would be worthwhile for parents and their children to do. There are many students out there that just don’t know what they want to do when they leave high school. They have to make a decision and I have seen many make the decision they think they should make. As a result of that, no one ends up happy; and you are right, money is wasted.

Newsflash. We thank our Nova Scotian friends & families for supporting us. We are grateful for each of you and we are doing well. Some of our followers might notice that our website will soon be offline. While it served us well from 2014 through to 2020, it is no longer a useful business tool for us. We have a considerably long wait list and we are using social media & phones to communicate. We are thriving and happy to be part of the Valley small business community.
