Although Doug has passed quietly, he has had to leave his wonderful better half (if I can say that since they are/were both spectacular people) behind. She could surely use some kind and uplifting words right about now. It's aweful when someone passes on, but it's worse to be left behind. Please drop her a line. Thank you to everyone for everything!

The funeral went very nicely today with at least as much laughter as tears. I know there are many out there who are sad at the passing of Mr. Worth, but I personally feel his life was meant to inspire and help others, and in doing this over the years he fulfilled that destiny in a way no one else could. He didn't have any children with Daisy, but instead they adopted all the kids they ever met and influenced the way many of us looked at math, life and each other. Thank you Gus. Your legacy was your life.

Arrangements for Mr Worth's Funeral and visitation are as follows:
Visitation - Friday, January 27, 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm St Paul's Anglican Chruch corners of Rorke and Browning Sts Haileybury.
Funeral Service - Saturday, January 28, 11 am at TDSS High School, 90 Niven St, New Liskeard. Reception to follow.

Mr Doug "Gus the Bus" Worth passed away suddenly and softly today, January 21, 2012. Although funerary details are few, prayers and wellwishes for his family, friends, loved ones and of course, his dearest Daisy will be accepted here and in all of your hearts until such time a arrangements can be made. We'll miss you, Doug. Your laughter, stories and the impact of your life on so many will not pass from this earth as quickly nor as quietly.

When last I saw my family for Christmas (I left on Tuesday) Doug was in the hospital and could only be visited by people in protective clothing. I was just getting over a bad lung infection, so I wasn't able to go and visit....something I wish I could change. But should any of you be in good health and are able to visit, bring a smie and a cheerful hello. Misery loves company, but doesn't stick around long if there's laughter to contend with!! Those unable to visit, keep the good words coming. The more, the merrier!

If thinking about him brings back a memory of a hilarious story, touching moment, or how he may have impacted your life or someone you care about, please share them. Just so all of you know, regular printouts of these pages are being delivered to Mr Worth so that he can read them and be inspired evn more to fight the good fight. Again, I implore everyone to forward this page to everyone you know...especially uou up there in the Tri-Town area or the ones who were touched by this amazing, unforgettable and truly astounding man. If there were more Mr Worths in the world, there'd be a lot more laughter!
