GET CERTIFIED: Wildland Fire Safety Training

Equip yourself with the essential skills and certifications needed for forestry work and wildland firefighting.

We are hosting the S-100: Basic Fire Suppression & Safety and S-185: Fire Entrapment Avoidance & Safety training courses.

Together, these courses meet WorkSafeBC regulations and prepare you to handle firelines safely and effectively.

📌 S-100: Basic Fire Suppression & Safety (2 Days / 16 Hours)

- Day 1: Classroom theory & written exam
- Day 2: Field day with hands-on practical exercises
- Topics: Wildfire behavior, PPE, hand tools, water delivery, and safety around heavy equipment & aircraft.

📌 S-185: Fire Entrapment Avoidance & Safety (2–3 Hours)

- Held on the afternoon of Day 1.
- Topics: LACES safety protocol, recognizing shifts in fire behavior, emergency escape strategies, and survival zone actions.
