Students in all 372 public schools across the province will have access to healthy, affordable lunches beginning Tuesday, September 8, as the final phase of the Nova Scotia School Lunch Program begins.
This school year, the program will reach the more than 133,000 students in public schools in Nova Scotia. Most families and older students can start ordering lunches Friday, August 28. The ordering window is open until noon Wednesday, September 2, for lunches beginning September 8.
Next week, high schools across Nova Scotia will offer the Nova Scotia School Lunch Program for the first time. Student-tested menus will include existing favourites, along with new options like chicken Caesar wraps, chicken fried rice, ramen-style noodle bowls and salads. Portion sizes have also increased for older students.

Parents and older students are encouraged to visit the website as soon as possible to set up their account and browse lunch options.
