PiCCoLA Adult Learners

PiCCoLA Adult Learners PiCCoLA is adult learners. It is our belief that every adult should have an equal opportunity to an education. PiCCoLA is part of NSSAL

The Pictou County Continuous Learning Association is a non-profit based organization. If you:
• do not have a high school diploma
• are 19 or over
• have been out of school for more than one year

then: PiCCoLA may be the place for you. We offer CONTINUAL intake (every second Monday) throughout the year. PiCCoLA Classes:

• Regular PiCCoLA programs run from mid-September to the end of May.

• We o

ffer Level 1(up to grade 6) and Level 2 (up to grade 9) of the Nova Scotia ALP** program. (Adult Learning Program)

• Our class sizes are small (maximum 15).

• We have continual intake (we take new students all year long)

• Choice of part-time or full time studies.

• Choice of morning, full day, or evening classes.

• Classes held in three locations.

• No cost to you!!!!

• GED preparational classes are also offered for a fee by PiCCoLA as requested by the community.

What a special time we had at PiCCoLA as we celebrated the achievements of our learners! The balancing act that our adult learners engage in has paid off. Many have families, jobs, and real-world responsibilities. Yet they show up. They study. The work towards their goals, and they make us proud.

I personally want to thank our staff here at PiCCoLA for getting me through my first school year. Deanna, Nikkie, Audrey, Bill, you guys are what makes PiCCoLA special, and we're lucky to have you. Have a great summer everybody! (Stacey)
