I haven’t been here for a while, but today I got the urge to do some cutting! I saw this (similar) idea on-line and thought I would give it a try. I wonder what the children will do with them? I will put them out for them this week and we will see!! 🌟

I had the opportunity to spend some time needle felting with a group of youth recently. I was so amazed at their creativity and how quickly they caught on to this therapeutic craft. We are making wall hangings. Each one was unique. I came away with my cup filled.

This Octopus is for a little friend who is 3. When I asked him what colors he wanted he said, blue and gold on top and rainbow!! So this is what evolved through the creative process.

Two wooden play boards, four scenes. Four simple play invitations. I get a chance to work with 3 & 4 years olds for a while. I’m preparing some choices for play (one at a time, likely) and I wonder if they will be interested in any of these and what they might do. Will these ideas prompt more ideas? I will be observing to see if I can add to their interests. What do you think?

My little shop is empty! I recently sold so many things, so of course, that is wonderful. Here I am starting again making, making, making. I had fun playing with these wooden boards. Changing animals or materials, changes the story. I wonder what the children will do. I don’t always see the imaginative play of older children but the toddlers would toss these all in a basket and go somewhere!!! 😂😅
