2025 💛

2025 looked different for Mountain Med. I took time for myself, some chosen, some necessary and watched MMC grow in ways I couldn’t have predicted. What became very clear, very quickly, was that MMC is only as strong as the people behind it.

I’m incredibly grateful for the instructors who are just as passionate about wilderness medicine as I am. They care deeply about staying current, evidence-based, and clinically relevant—and who understand that teaching is more than just standing at the front of a classroom. Our instructors value education over checkbox training, and they are equipped not just to train skills, but to truly teach and explain the why behind the medicine.

Thanks to WMA, that philosophy is built into our curriculum. We push up-to-date medicine, we support our instructors with the tools they need to teach well, and we hold ourselves to a high standard. We care about the quality of the course every single time.

Behind the scenes, none of this would have worked without our incredible operations coordinators. You took the systems of MMC out of my brain and put them onto paper—no small feat. Your patience with my lack of detail orientation, your ability to create structure from chaos, and your drive to run a smooth, professional operation allowed MMC to scale without losing its soul. Truly, this year would not have happened without you.

I’m also deeply thankful for the organizations and individuals who supported MMC. Returning clients, repeat courses, and familiar faces in new settings mean more than I can say.

And the growth?

📈 In 2025, we doubled the number of courses compared to last year.

Not because of flashy marketing—but because of great instructors, a solid curriculum, and quality courses.

Watching MMC continue to grow without me holding every thread was, honestly, pretty incredible.
