Modern civilization rests on a conceptual mistake so normalized that it has become invisible. We assume that reality is best understood through binary logic—true or false, mind or body, subject or object, right or wrong. This framework has undeniable utility in engineering and computation. It builds bridges. It runs machines. It structures algorithms.
But the human being is not a machine. The human being is a self-regulated organism.
When binary logic—designed for closed systems—becomes the dominant lens for interpreting living systems, distortion follows. The organism is reduced to mechanism. Feeling is subordinated to calculation. Development becomes optimization. And society begins to fracture along the very binaries it uses to define itself.
