We had a great meeting last evening and got to listen and give feedback on 2 speeches from our members! One had great storytelling while the other one was more informative 📖 🧐

Here is a picture of our welcomed guest Steven who won Best TableTopics Speech Award and Member Alexandra who won the Most Improved Speech! Way to go!

The purpose of this activity is to help us practice our on-the-spot speaking skills, and give members and guests without roles a chance to speak. 🎤
The “TABLETOPICS MASTER” of the evening reads out a topic, (generally related to the theme of the meeting) and then select a member or guest to respond. They then have 2 min max to shift their response to answer a related question, change the topic entirely, or make something up on the spot! Super fun!

We had a booth at the most recent Nelson Farmer's market on Sept 26th and were happy to talk to everyone who stopped! 😊

Great meeting this week on the theme of “Lifelong learnings”. We learned a little more about each other while practicing our communication skills! Some of us enjoyed an ice cream afterwards 😃🍦

We had the pleasure of welcoming four colourful guests! Two of them even won the BEST Table topics awards! Come again! The first three meeting are free 😃

Greetings from your Toastmaster Nelson Fresh Tracks Group! 😊 Great turn out for our group picture!

We had a great meeting last night on the theme of the lunar eclipse 🌒, and a good laugh with one our new member’s speech. We evenly encouraged him to compete with it at the regional Toastmaster speech contest! (Yes, it’s a thing!!) 👏

We will be updating our website soon! Stay tuned for some changes!

Nice to meet new Toastmaster guests. Some of our members met after the club meeting to enjoy some socializing.

Next meeting is May 28th at the Community First Health Coop. at 7pm. Theme is “A Day at the Beach” bring your towel, sunglasses and or sun hat as props.

Listen to members reply to Impromptu questions about fond memories of by-gone summers or try one yourself 😊

Guests are welcome!! (first 3 meetings are free).

Toastmasters is an education organization with the focus of improving public speaking, communication and leadership skills.
Location: Community First Health Coop 510 Lake St. on the main floor (resource room). 7 to 8:30pm

Did you know Toastmasters got a big membership boost back on January 19, 1926? 🎉
That’s when the club we now know as Anaheim Club 2 held its very first meeting at the Marigold Café in Anaheim, California. Nearly 100 years later, the story continues. ✨
