Welcome back to school! My recommendation for an inexpensive calculator for Grade 8-12 is the Casio fx-300ES plus.

These are allowed on exams (at SD8) and have a many features useful for high-school math:

* exact fraction math (with full simplification)
* calculates prime factorizations, GCD, LCM
* simplifies and rationalizes (most) square root expressions
* exact values for special trig angles (i.e. the unit circle)
* logarithms to any base (PreCalc 12)

These are all directly applicable to PreCalc 10-12 in British Columbia.

These 90-minutes review sessions are offered online (via Zoom) to all interested students ($15 suggested donation). I’ve set the dates to correspond to the anticipated exam dates (which are subject to change).

I will spend about 30 minutes to present review materials and then open the sessions up for Q&A. Ideally, students can join on a computer or device with a large enough screen.
