90 minute paddle.
Camden Lake Provincial Wildlife Area opens to hunting in September, so we had better pay our repeat visit now. There will be LOTS of loons and terns, plus a few swans. Bug spray recommended due to the time of day. There is a port-a-potty in Yarker Park which is on the way to Camden Lake. Facilities on site are primitive.

This is a great resource for finding boat launches in L&A county. A lot of the locations we have paddled are on the map at this link, but there are still some we know of that aren't listed - to be updated at a later date.

Paddle meet up Saturday July 25th - launch at 10am - Napanee River at Curl Road. Please see the map in the comments. Drop your kayak off at the boat ramp, then park along Curl Road, being careful not to block driveways or farm gates. Approximately 8km paddle downstream to the iron bridge and back 🛶🛶🛶🛶

This location does not have a parking lot or porta potty.

2. Salmon River, Roblin

This is a favorite any time of year: paddle in between the trees in the spring, and among the changing leaf colours in the fall. This area is always flowing, so no worries about bottoming out.

Put-in and take-out is the same location, Roblin Boat Launch on hwy 41. There is ample parking, a nice launch site, and a even a port-a-potty!

Length depends on how far you feel like going that day. The river stretches up to and beyond Teskey Road, Croyden, which is about 7 kms away. So if you're feeling adventurous and energetic - go for it!

Note - there are rapids further up in the town of Croyden, so you won't be able to make it up river any farther than that.

Paddling locations! 🛶

It's been a busy few months- I've (Steph) only gotten out paddling once prior to last week.

I will try to list out our previous paddling locations as well as some new ones.

1. Petworth to Colebrook

First one today is a new one - this one is good for spring or early summer, small groups, and is only 4.5 kms one way (1.5hrs). The beginning of the route is shallow, so in late summer it will probably be mostly dry and unpassable. There is no parking lot, just curb side parking - REMINDER: DO NOT park in front of any laneways (local homeowners have noted this happening often)

You can do it as a one way put-in/take-out with 2 ppl and 2 cars, or an out and back trip starting at either point.

CAUTION there is a dam located just past the take-out point, but it is well signed and we had no problem exiting - the current was not strong.

Hi everyone — we have an update to share.

After a lot of thought, the Naturally Outdoors organizers have decided to pause group gatherings for 2026. We still love getting out on the water and hitting the trails, but with life getting busier, it feels like the right time to take a step back and recharge.

We plan to revisit things in 2027 and see what feels right moving forward.

In the meantime, if anyone is interested in stepping up to organize paddles or hikes this year, we’d love to hear from you. Feel free to reach out and we can chat!

We will be updating our website in the coming days to include our favourite locations so that you can still explore our wonderful area on your own.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us over the past four years — it’s been an amazing experience exploring together and meeting so many great people.
