A Not-for-Profit Learning foundation for people who learn differently. It is our intention to provide these services to children and their families.

At Let Me Be Me Learning Foundation we believe there is a need for comprehensive services for children and youth who face barriers to education, culture and social/life skills. Let Me Be Me will provide a variety of programs that would take a holistic approach to learning. Community Support Worker — Part-Time

Starting September 2026 Wage: $19.00–$21.00 per hour

Part-Time Position

We are seeking a caring, reliable, and experienced Community Support Worker to support individuals in reaching their personal, educational, social, and community-inclusion goals.

The successful candidate will meet each client on their terms and provide respectful, person-centred support based on their individual needs and goals.

Responsibilities

Support clients with personal hygiene and daily living skills

Encourage community inclusion and participation

Support education and learning goals

Provide classroom support for neurodiverse learners

Assist with life-skills development

Facilitate and participate in social groups and activities

Support socialization and community engagement

Document client interactions and progress

Work under the direction of the Program Lead

Work independently while maintaining good communication with the team
Build positive, respectful relationships with clients and families

Qualifications & Requirements
Previous experience in community support, education, disability services, or a related field
Experience supporting neurodiverse individuals is an asset
Ability to work independently and follow direction
Reliable transportation and your own vehicle
Valid vehicle insurance with $5 million liability coverage
Current Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Compassionate, dependable, and respectful approach to supporting individuals
Three references required

We have backpacks for a fundraising again this year! They are perfect for packing beachwear, lunches or using as an overnight bag when traveling. $18 a piece. Get yours now while they last!

Fundraiser! Let Me Be Me Learning Foundation backpack have arrived. We only have a limited amount of them so if you are interested in one please let us know. They will be selling for $18 per backpack. The funds will be used for school outings, and events. Your support is greatly appreciated.
