Our students created their own beautiful gardens using real flowers, leaves, and twigs! As they explored the natural materials, they enjoyed touching, smelling, and arranging them to create their unique artwork. This hands-on activity encouraged creativity, sensory exploration, and an appreciation for nature, while giving them the opportunity to have fun and express their ideas in their own imaginative wayπŸ’›

Science starts with curiosity.

Through hands-on exploration of the human body, children discover how different body parts and organs help us grow, move, think, and stay healthy.

At CEFA, early STEM learning helps children ask questions, make connections, and begin to understand the world around them with confidence.

Movement helps children build more than physical skills.

Through activities like Taekwondo, children practice balance, coordination, focus, listening, and self-confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

At CEFA, physical development is part of our whole-child approach, helping children grow stronger in body, mind, and confidence.

Creative expression is part of how children learn.

Through open-ended art experiences, children experiment with colour, movement, texture, and pattern while strengthening fine motor control and hand-eye coordination.

At CEFA, visual arts help children build confidence in their ideas and discover that every creative process can lead to something uniquely their own.

Little routines can teach big lessons.

When children practice handwashing, they are learning independence, responsibility, self-care, and the confidence to take part in daily routines.

At CEFA, everyday moments are opportunities to build life skills that help children feel capable, prepared, and proud of what they can do.

Writing begins long before a child picks up a pencil to form letters.

It starts with building the skills behind the skill.

Before age three, children build the foundations for future writing through activities that strengthen fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and early pre-writing movements such as lines, circles, and patterns.

In this post, we're sharing five simple activities that help support these important developmental milestones. Through guided exploration and hands-on learning, children develop the strength, control, and confidence that prepare them for handwriting in the years ahead.

Every child communicates in their own way.

Through sign language activities, children explore letters, sounds, movement, and meaning while strengthening early literacy and communication skills.

At CEFA, experiences like these help children build confidence, express themselves, and connect with others in thoughtful and inclusive ways.
