I'm working on a bunch of ocean earrings to go with the pendants I made. They will be not just pretty but light weight and very comfortable with a playful touch of Chalcedony and fresh water pearls.
For my metal clay friends - there are some great online courses on my website about designing and building a template, hand forming coils in complex designs, hand forming small elements, full project courses, etc. - lots of resources to level up your skills.

As promised, the last Ocean themed pendant is almost ready. I'm planning on matching earrings for this one, as I do have the right stones (guess they will have an asymmetric design).

I have three Aqua Chalcedony stones and here I formed a setting for one of them. The pendant will also contain a small pearl at the top. It's an asymmetrical design, but well balanced and all the inhabitants will come alive after firing when LoS applied :).

On my bench - I got this magnificent Labradorite marquise stone and here is the process of creating a setting for it - a necklace. I'll add to this design a couple of small faceted stones. It's a symmetric multi layered design and I'll do some soldiering after firing to set the stones.

I just finished working on a setting for this beautiful Labradorite stone. Symmetrical coil work and plenty of oxidized negative space around the stone to provide contrast and bring it into view.

I just finished working on these custom earrings for a beautiful lady and love how they turned out. They have just the right amount of oxidization and a smooth satin finish.
Patina is indeed my best friend - so important when wanting to bring details into view. I use only LoS and always apply it in layers to get the uniform deep shade of patina, as to resemble the antique one.

On my bench - a pair of cute earrings for a beautiful Lady. I rare hand form earrings because of the additional symmetry challenge involved and making them only on special occasions or as custom orders :). I enjoyed very much making these ones, as I do like blue Chalcedony a lot and curious how the stones will look when set.
For my metal clay friends - I'm often asked how my work looks so clean and precise. It helps not to make a mess in the first place and secondly a mix of a drop of Lavender essential oil and a few drops of water will make the perfect mix to brush and smooth the greenware piece before firing.

On my bench - two nice Acherontia atropos (Death's-head hawkmoth) which will be about CLEAR (not white, or purple, or any other color) Light of Awareness very much inspired by the Buddhist teachings... I'm still in the process of sculpting it and looking forward to seeing how it will turn out.

It's such a pleasure to work on this project - a Trillium (one of my favorite herbs and symbols) for a beautiful Lady.
It's a multilayered design which will shine in all its splendor when patina applied and stones set. The coil embellishments are adding movement and flow and I'm not done yet :).
