When you're learning about something cool, then class on your day off is easy! Our first and second year classes took part in a lecture on parks planning as part of the Urban and Regional Studies Certificate Program! This Certificate is offered as part of the MCP program.

A big thanks to the Regional District of Nanaimo for inviting MCP students to help facilitate an engagement session at the 2nd annual Symposium on Water Stewardship in a Changing Climate! This is one of the many opportunities that students have to get real-world experience.

Some of our first years took a much needed study break to Mount Washington with VIU Outdoor Recreation! Skiing is just one of the many activities that they host, all open to VIU students!
