We have accumulated quite the pile of forgotten items from the recent spring break camps, and afew things from preschool. Please have a look through the photos attached if your child attends these programs and is missing anything. If you see anything of yours, please comment with the item, your child’s name, and the school/ program they attend so we can pass the information along to the right leader.

Let's brighten up this dreary Thursday with a Staff Profile! Many of you may know her!

Crysty joined our team at Kidz Kompany Small Fries a little over three years ago and are we ever glad she did! Crysty is a certified Early Childhood Educator with specializations in both Diverse Abilities and Infant / Toddler care. She has worked in Childcare since 2005. On a break from University, Crysty began working in a childcare facility and fell in love with the work. She returned to university to complete her Early Childhood Education and never looked back! With all of her years in the field she has a diverse array of experiences which make her such an asset to our team! Crysty has many favourite things about children but one of her highlights is how honest children are!

Crysty, originally from Manitoba, moved to British Columbia in 2023 where she fell in love with the west coast. Not only is she an incredible educator, she is a mother to four children as well! When not at Kidz Ko you can find Crysty baking, listening to music, hiking, camping, fishing or exploring the ocean and all the neat creatures that live there!

We are so lucky to have Crysty on our team!

Tonight as this devastating news shakes our Province, hold your people tighter and wrap them in love and kindness. Our thoughts are with all of the families and residents of Tumbler Ridge as they try and navigate this heart breaking tragedy.

Registration is now open for our Dec 5th Day Camp! We still have space available for your kiddo to join us for some winter inspired fun and games!

Just a friendly reminder that ALL Kidz Kompany Locations are CLOSED tomorrow (October 24th) as our team participates in Professional Development! See you all on Monday!

On this wonderful Wednesday we bring you our last team member in the Staff of the Day series! We have many other lovely team members who opted not to be posted publicly and we respect that! If you haven't seen your child's leaders featured here, make sure you say hello and ask them about themselves! We have some of the most amazing staff around! Now last but certainly not least....Pam!

Pam joined the Kidz Kompany Small Fries team in July 2024, first in the Multi-age room and now has settled in to her role in the Infant / Toddler program. However, Pam used to work for us in 2016 back when Small Fries was brand new! It has been a treat to have her come back! Pam is cheerful and engaging and brings positivity and humor to her personal and professional life. Pam is dedicated to nurturing young minds with a spirited enthusiasm that makes each interaction memorable. She is passionate about celebrating as each child reaches their goals and milestones. She is eager to learn new things and likes to figure out what makes kiddo's "tick".

When Pam is not at Kidz Kompany she enjoys being with animals, video games, spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, or watching one of her favorite movies! Pam is a Christmas enthusiast and has a never ending love of everything Disney! Whether she is working with the kiddo's, enjoying her favorite movie or out adventuring, Pam brings a blend of warmth and fun to everything she does!

You may notice our team is all dressed up this week in brand new Kidz Kompany swag! It's been a while since we got new staff shirts done!

We have a couple more lovely team members to re-introduce! Today re-meet Rayshell!

Rayshell started working at Kidz Kompany in March 2020...a week before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down! She integrated in to the Kidz Kompany Small Fries team with ease even during the chaos. Rayshell is part of our Infant / Toddler program and we are so happy to have her! Rayshell completed her Early Childhood Education at VIU in 2019, however has been working in the field since 2016. When still in highschool Rayshell was part of the LIT (Leaders in Training) and Quest programs through Nanaimo Parks, Recreation and Culture. Rayshell also volunteered at a local childcare facility during her grade 11 year. Rayshell's favorite part about working with children is exploring music and movement and learning about the world through their eyes.

When she is not at Kidz Ko you can find her either attending or teaching a Zumba class, exploring the island, gold panning or spending time with her family and friends.

Just another "manic Monday"....bringing you another magnificent team member! Anu!

Anu is the newest member of our Kidz Kompany Small Fries team! She joined Harpreet in the Multi-Age program in August 2025. Prior to that, in July, she completed an ECE practicum with Kim, Crysty and Ileana in the 3-5 classroom!

Anu is originially from Souther India. She has a Bachelors degree in Finance and an MBA and did have a previous career as a Chartered Accountant. Alongside this work, she also taught statistics and math to learners of all ages, igniting her passion in the field of education and for guiding young minds. Anu came to Canada and studied at Camosun College in Victoria where she also served as a Student Coordinator. Here she learned how to support other students and welcomed International students. Following her passion, Anu moved on in to Early Childhood Education. She is inspired by children's curiosity and energy. She treasures the chance to nurture and guide our youngest learners. One day Anu hopes to perhaps teach at a University level.

When not at Kidz Kompany or studying, Anu enjoys yoga, classical dance, travelling and exploring new cultures. Being on the island, Anu loves spending time in nature (especially paddle boarding at Pipers Lagoon) and embraces each adventure as an opportunity to learn, grow, and share joy with others!
