Growth as a singer isn’t just about talent… it’s about never stopping the work and facing the things that scare you most. 🎤✨
For years, jazz intimidated me — especially s**tting. It always felt like this wild, fearless musical language only the greats could speak. And let’s be honest… Ella Fitzgerald is the Mount Everest of s**t. 😅🎶
But I’m in a jazz show now, and I made a decision:
If I’m going to do this, I’m going to really do it.
So here I am — diving headfirst into one of the most challenging things for a jazz vocalist.
Is it perfect? Nope.
Is it closer than yesterday? Absolutely.
And that’s what matters. 🙌
Being a professional singer doesn’t mean you stop learning — it means you never stop chasing mastery, even when it’s uncomfortable, intimidating, or messy in the middle.
So here’s to the work. The growth. The scary bits.
And to honoring the legends by daring to step into their shadow and learn. 🎶❤️
Keep putting the time in, and your voice — and your confidence — will rise with you.
