Cottage Paws Rescue Saving lives by connecting paws with people🐾 We believe in the power of community and also help other rescue organizations, working to save lives together.

We are a 100% VOLUNTEER-based organization located in the Parry Sound/Muskoka, Ontario region. Animals in our care are fostered in a home environment with our loving volunteers. Fundraising and Donations make it possible to save lives. Every penny raised goes directly to the veterinary care of animals in our rescue who would otherwise not have a second chance. 🚨MEET THE AUTUMN 🍁 CREW🚨

These are the 3 little guys that our foster Marla dropped everything for on Friday at dinner time and went and retrieved them from a local farm after they asked for help. The kittens had been found by themselves in their driveway in the morning and no mom returned all day. They were crying from hunger and the temps 🌡️were dropping quickly for the night :(

Thanks to Marla & Gary these three went to bed Friday night with fully bellies and the warmth of a heating beanie ❤️

They are being bottle 🍼 fed every 3-4 hours. They were only estimated to be 7-10 days old when we took them in.
Thank you🙏🏿 Marla & Gary for your time ⏰and dedication to these 3 wee souls. They are 100% dependent on you for their survival and we know that's a lot.
You literally saved their precious little lives - we appreciate you.

Chloe was the last of her siblings to get adopted.

This adoption has a very unique story to it...
Cottage Paws Rescue 🐾 is no stranger to Amber & Lacey. They adopted the "Disney" kittens 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛Aurora & Mulan back in December. Aurora & Mulan were the last 2 of the litter that didn't find homes right away like the rest of their siblings.
Amber & Lacey stepped up to the plate very quickly back in March when the little Shih Tzu Hurache (now Chance) needed to be removed in less than 24 hours from his foster to adopt home due to unexpected allergies. They took on Chance head on and worked through his insecurities and gave him a soft landing until his forever home was found.
Amber had always said that 3 cats would make their home 🏠 complete.
Chloe kept appearing in her feed and just like the first 2 kittens they adopted, Chloe was the last chosen and overlooked for no apparent reason 🤷
The "nudge" kept happening and we are so happy to announce that Chloe has joined their household to make the cat count the magical 3️⃣they had wanted.
And we are very confident to say that Chloe has hit the jackpot.

Thank you 🙏🏿 to Marla & Gary for fostering. Chloe and her siblings were all sick 🤢 with upper respiratory infections when we took them in - they all were rushed straight from pickup at the farm to our vet . Our sweet Cheeto passed away at the vet less than 4 hours later. Marla & Gary nursed this crew back to health and did such a great job socializing them.
Fostering literally saves lives !!

There was another chain of events that happened before the adoption of Chloe that are way to complex to explain but let's just say we are 100% sure this is the home 🏡 that Chloe is meant to be in ❤️

Our sweet chonk of a boy has found his forever home 🏡.

He is such a handsome hunk that is a lover and not 🚫 a fighter. He's a very big boy that loves belly rubs and chasing and fetching balls 🏀. Yes, Pugsley is what we'd call a "dog cat" 🤷

A huge thank you 🙏🏿 to Pugsley's amazing foster family that showed Pugsley that indoor life was not 🚫 such a bad thing. They provided him safety when he needed it and he is happy to be indoors.

Thank you 🙏🏿to Lynn for adopting this beautiful boy 🩶.
He's a very special boy and we are beyond happy that he's being spoiled rotten....he so deserves this ❤️

When we say "new" , we mean NEW!!! These three siblings are estimated about 2ish weeks old 😭
Momma cat disappeared to leave these 3 orphans. A local farm reached out to us for help (this is also where Peanut the cat came from)
We are thankful 🙏🏿 that Marla&Gary retrieved them last night-they wouldn't have made it through the night with the temperature 🌡️ drop. They are now warm and toasty and being bottle 🍼 fed around the clock ⏰.

Got to have a little visit last evening with these sweet little kitties when we were dropping off kitten 🐾 formula. My grand daughter (kitten 🐈 lady in the making) was in her glory.

So far they are doing well 🤞🤞
2 girls and 1 boy - all tabbies.

DELLA, DIXIE AND DOLLY (now SADIE) IT HAS BEEN A YEAR ‼️

OCTOBER 1 2025 we welcomed 4 puppies from Constance Lake Reserve.
They came down with parvo 2 days after their arrival.
This was one of the worst times for our rescue and the outpouring of our community was incredible.
We made it through syringe feedings at all hours of the day and night, sub Q fluids 3x a day, a ton of meds, quarts of javex and cases of paper towels and other cleaning supplies and huge vet bills.

Della, Dixie and Dolly (now Sadie) survived.

They are ALL THRIVING.

and the best thing?????
They all get water adventures with their people ❤️

I am blessed that they all give me frequent updates 🙏🏿
These dogs will always have a very special place in my heart. There were many tears, sleepless nights and lots of communication with our vets in both Port Hope and Parry Sound to make sure we were doing everything right.
PARVO is EVIL and it's very real.
Please please vaccinate your puppies....it works against parvo‼️
Do not 🚫 be taking puppies out and about until you have done it !!!!!!!!
