Today is National Child Day!
We sent home special sheets for our little friends to fill out with their families. As educators, we’re always listening to children’s ideas and interests, and today for National Child Day, we’ll read their sheets together at circle time so the children can learn a little more about their daycare friends too. 💙

Today we discussed National Indigenous Peoples Day 🧡
We gathered on our Turtle Island blanket and explored meaningful Indigenous items like beadwork, a dreamcatcher, stone and bone carvings, and a tiny fur-and-wool mitten ornament. We learned how Indigenous people use the land with care and respect, creating art that tells stories.
We ended by watching powwow dancers and learning how their movements tell stories—like a butterfly emerging or a victory being celebrated.
Check out Bannerman Park celebrations tomorrow!

This month has been a special one for Bloom. Not only did it wrap up with ECE Week—where I felt so appreciated through thoughtful gifts, kind messages, heartfelt cards, and beautiful artwork from the kids—but it also marked 10 years since I first opened our doors to the most wonderful groups of children and families.
What a journey it’s been! I’m so grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me over the years. Thank you for letting me be a part of your little ones’ lives—and part of your village. ❤️

Today, we read stories on being kind and how to be a good friend, even if we are upset. We pointed out all of the examples that we do every day at daycare 💗

Our toddlers are moving past their Destructive (unbuild) play stage and their buildings are now becoming purposeful parts of their play ❤️
Gia is leading a fun play experience with play people and Remi is following her lead by creating spaces for their cars.
