Operating Engineers Training Institute of Ontario A Leader in Heavy Equipment and Crane Operator Training. The OETIO has been in operation since 1982.

This world class training institute offers crane operator, heavy equipment operator, and construction safety training programs in support of the construction industry. The OETIO provides training from two primary campuses in Ontario. The Morrisburg campus, in eastern Ontario, delivers heavy equipment operator training and also serves as the design, development and administrative center of the OETI

O. The Oakville campus, a new modern facility co-located with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 793 headquarters (IUOE), opened in January of 2006 as the center for crane operator training. Both campuses also provide a wide range of construction safety courses in support of the industry requirements.

The future of apprenticeship depends on strong leaders, skilled mentors, and workplaces where everyone can succeed. The Canadian Apprenticeship Foundation's FREE national development programs help make that future a reality.

National Leadership Development Program: Aimed at helping tradeswomen build the confidence and leadership skills to advance their careers in the skilled trades.

National Mentor Development Program: For tradeswomen who want to develop the skills to become effective mentors and help others succeed.

National Program for Supporting Indigenous Apprentices: Designed for non-Indigenous tradespeople, HR staff, employers, managers or supervisors to gain the knowledge and tools to better support Indigenous apprentices through culturally informed learning and practical mentorship strategies.
