📢 Planning Ahead for 2026–2027

The 2026–2027 school year will begin with a Staggered Start for all students across Sturgeon Public Schools.

Families are encouraged to watch for upcoming information from their child's school, which will include specific details regarding which day they are scheduled to attend and back-to-school plans.

This incredible program was made possible with the support of our industry partners at San Rufo Homes in St. Albert and Build Alberta Apprenticeships Foundation who opened their worksite to mentor our students throughout this journey.

The Board of Trustees of Sturgeon Public Schools extends its congratulations to Leona Petherbridge on receiving the Special Contribution to Public Education Award from the Public School Boards' Association of Alberta.

Leona's decades of service as a Library Technician, 4-H Leader, and school bus driver have positively impacted thousands of young people. Through her dedication, students have gained confidence, responsibility, teamwork, and practical life skills that continue to serve them well beyond the classroom.

The Board was proud to nominate Leona for this well-deserved provincial recognition and thanks her for her outstanding contribution to public education and the communities served by Sturgeon Public Schools.
