First Massage? Here’s what to expect from your treatment with me ☺️

If you’ve never had a massage before it can totally be unnerving and weird (and that’s normal) but don’t worry, I gotchu!

Before we start, we’ll have a quick chat about what you’re looking for. Maybe you want a full body massage, maybe just your back and neck or maybe there are a few problem areas you want me to focus on. We’ll come up with a plan together based on what you need and want.

I will ask for your permission to work on areas like your feet, glutes (butt) , and pecs (chest area) . You are ALWAYS allowed to say no. You can also change your mind at any time. Consent is an ongoing thing around here.

I’ll leave the room while you undress to whatever level you’re comfortable with and get under the sheet.
You’ll stay properly covered throughout your treatment, and I’ll only uncover the area I’m working on. I use secure sheet draping and will tuck the sheet into your waistband when needed to keep everything comfortably and professionally covered. Nothing vulnerable is exposed.

Now, one of my biggest things: PLEASE communicate with me.

More pressure? Tell me.
Less pressure? Tell me.
That feels amazing? Tell me.
Whatever technique I’m doing right now is absolutely not for you? PLEASE tell me!

You are not going to hurt my feelings. I’m very receptive to feedback, and I want to know what works for you and what doesn’t. You do not get bonus points for silently suffering through a massage you hate. This is your massage!

Conversation is also completely client led. If you want to chat, we’ll chat. If you want to zone out and forget other humans exist for an hour, I fully support that too. There is absolutely no pressure to entertain me or keep a conversation going.

And please feel free to ask me anything. There are genuinely no stupid questions. If you’re wondering what happens next, why I’m doing something, whether something is normal, or anything else that pops into your head, just ask.
You can even ask me to change the music 😭 (I might judge you a bit for that (jokes!!!)

At the end of the day, communication is paramount. I want you to feel comfortable speaking up about what you need so we can make your treatment the best fit for you.

Basically: get comfy, speak up, ask questions, and please don’t spend 60 minutes quietly enduring something you hate because you’re too polite 💕
