Today, the Vanier Collegiate Theatre Program is proud to announce our Fall 2018 Musical Production! After much deliberation over the past few months, we have decided to turn to a classic story that has captivated readers for nearly 150 years. Written by Louisa May Alcott in 1869, and adapted for the Broadway stage in 2005, the tale of the March sisters: Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy, will once again be produced at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre.
That's right! Vanier Collegiate will be staging LITTLE WOMEN this November 15-17th, 2018. We are planning FOUR performances: 3 evening performances and a Saturday afternoon matinée.
Auditions for the musical are open to any students who is attending Vanier Collegiate in the Fall of 2018. We will be holding auditions in June (dates pending). Any questions about auditions can be asked on this page, through a direct message, or emailed to Ben Sackville, Drama Program Head, at [email protected].
Tickets are not yet on sale, but will eventually be available for purchase on the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre website (http://www.moosejawculture.ca/), rather than through our school office as has been the case in the past. We will post that information here and on our Twitter page (twitter.com/VanierTheatre) when it becomes available, as well as on our school website (vanier.htcsd.ca).
As with all musical productions, we are always looking for parents, faculty, alumni, and other members of the community to help in the development of our productions. If you would like to volunteer your time to help with costuming, set building, prop making, choreography, etc., please feel free to message this page. We know through our rich history that the help of student and community volunteers moves mountains.
Finally, a supreme thank you to all those who continue to support student theatre in the Moose Jaw community and, in advance, to anyone who comes out to see our musical this November. We hope to see you there!
