There are three parts in speaking test:

Part 1 is about YOU. They will ask you familiar, everyday questions about your life. This will last around 4-5 minutes.

Part 2 is sometimes called the ‘long turn’. You will be given a cue card and you will have 1 minute to prepare your answer. You will then be asked to speak for up to 2 minutes.

Part 3 is more abstract. This is your opportunity to really develop your answers and discuss the issues brought up by the examiner. This will last 4-5 minutes.

Paraphrasing is a crucial skill to learn before doing your IELTS test. if you know how to paraphrase you are more likely to get the score you need.What is paraphrasing?
It is re-writing a phrase or sentence using different words.The sentence must actually mean the same as before and it must also be grammatically correct.
How to paraphrase;
1. Use synonyms
2. Change the word order
3. Change the form of the word
4. Change the sentence structure.
