International Women’s Day is rooted in the fight for equal rights, including freedom from violence.
Around the world, women and gender-diverse individuals continue to face assault, harassment, and systemic barriers when seeking justice. Equality cannot exist without safety.
Today, we recognize the resilience of survivors and recommit to building communities grounded in respect, consent, and accountability.

Confidential support is available 24/7:

March is Women’s History Month.

Women have spoken out against violence even when the world refused to listen. Their courage changed movements, laws, and conversations around consent.

But the work is not finished. Survivors still face systemic barriers and stigma.

This month, we choose to listen and stand with survivors. You are not alone 🩵

Today on World Day of Social Justice 🌍 we’re reminded that justice is a call to action.

Legal systems aren’t always equally accessible, and systemic barriers continue to impact women, survivors of violence, and marginalized communities. At Dear Colleague, we support research, education, advocacy, and strategic litigation that create lasting change 🌟📚✨

Join us in advancing justice at McGill and beyond 🤝💙

⭐️ Meet the 2026 Winter Semester Dear Colleague Team!⭐️

We are proud to introduce our amazing board of new and returning executives who will be working hard to transform McGill into a safer, more informed community this semester.

In our first semester, Dear Colleague raised over $2,800 to help combat sexual violence on campus, coordinated a workshop on how to be an active bystander, organized a women’s self-defence class, launched our newsletter for general members, and spread awareness and resources through uploading several informative posts on our social media channels.

We have lots of ideas for the current semester and are excited to continue fostering education, advocacy, and safety on McGill’s campus!🩵🩵
