The Armenian language has endured through the centuries, preserving its richness and beauty. As the foundation of our identity, history, and culture, it is a priceless legacy that every Armenian should cherish, preserve, and speak with pride.

Շնորհավոր Մայիս 28 ♥️💙🧡

Today, we honor our heroes who gave their lives so we could live in freedom and preserve our independence. We remember the strength, sacrifice, and resilience of our people, and we hold their memory close in our hearts. As we look back with pride, we are reminded of the importance of passing our language, culture, and identity on to the next generation — so they continue this story with the same love and strength.

📚 First day back, and our hearts are full! Last Saturday, our classrooms came alive again.
As we opened our books and stepped into a new school year, we also opened our hearts to the love of our homeland. We not only began a new chapter in learning — we proudly celebrated the independence of Armenia. 💙❤️🧡

Happy Independence Day, Armenia! 🇦🇲

📚✨ September 1st marks the International Day of Knowledge — a day to celebrate learning.
In 405 AD, Mesrop Mashtots gave Armenians more than an alphabet — he gave us the tools to survive. Through language, we preserved our faith, history, and voice as a people.
At Paros Armenian Saturday School, every lesson continues that legacy — connecting new generations to who they are and where they come from.
📖 Here's to a new school year filled with curiosity, purpose, and connection.

We’re not just learning letters — we’re living our culture. Our students are learning to make Armenian gata, a beloved pastry baked with love, using a recipe passed down through generations. Gata isn’t just a sweet — it’s a symbol of Armenian warmth and hospitality, often baked for weddings, New Year’s Eve, and other joyful celebrations. Through each step — mixing, folding, and shaping — they are not just learning to bake, but connecting to a deeper story.

🌟. Practicing Armenian through role-play! 🌟
We often notice that students feel shy or unsure when it comes to speaking Armenian. It’s not that they don’t know the words—they just need the confidence to use them!
That’s why we use activities like character-based role-play, where students pretend to be Armenian characters who only understand Armenian. This playful setup gives them a safe space to speak, try, make mistakes, and grow.

Did You Know? Armenian Letters Are Secret Math & Time Codes!
✨ The Armenian alphabet isn’t just letters — each letter is also a number!
✨ Created over 1,600 years ago, this system was used to write dates, calculate hours, and even hide secret messages.
✨ Instead of writing “79,” ancient Armenians wrote the word ՈՍԿԻ — which means gold — and guess what? The numbers behind those letters add up to 79… the atomic number of gold!
✨ Imagine an alphabet that’s also a math calculator and a timekeeper — that’s Armenian!
