The Q***r McGill zine is back!
We’re excited to open submissions for the first issue of Lavender Mirage, centered on the theme Common Ground.
Common Ground explores the shared struggles q***r and trans people face under systems of cruelty and oppression, while also asking us to look inward, toward one another, and toward the more just futures we hope to build together.
We’re looking for poetry, short prose, visual art, photography, collage, comics, personal reflections, and more.
Submit through the Google Form in our bio by April 3rd.
We can’t wait to read, see, and celebrate your work. 💜

In observance of BHM, we retain a critical stance to the fact that it is ONLY the 30th year that it has been recognized in Canada and the 9th year at McGill university while Black history culture goes way beyond. We wish to highlight Black Q***r and Trans trailblazers that have made significant impact for the community. This is a very small snippet into the beloved intimacies between Black communities and q***rness and we are forever grateful for their contributions.
We call on the community to engage with Afro-centric programming and to support the Black and African diaspora both in Canada and beyond.
We must remember history in order to pursue a more just and prosperous future. Not only in this month but for many more months and years to come.
In solidarity,
Q***r McGill team
