ECOLE is a student-run sustainability hub at McGill where 11 facilitators live, share, and organize collectively. At ECOLE, we experiment with sustainable, collective, and anti-oppressive living while building community through workshops, events, and micro-projects rooted in social and environmental justice.

We are looking for 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀, 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆, contribute to the project, and help shape ECOLE in the year ahead.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗱𝗼:
– Live collectively at ECOLE (3559 University Street)
– Contribute up to 10 hours/week to community projects and programming
– Develop a personal or group sustainability project
– Build connections across McGill and the Milton-Parc community

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗘 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘀:
– A partial 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝗶𝗱𝘆 for facilitators living in the house (currently between 𝟰𝟰% 𝘁𝗼 𝟰𝟲%)
– Training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in collective organizing

Are you interested in being part of a community living project in the upcoming academic year at McGill?

Would you like to live sustainably & collectively with a group of rad people, practice community organizing and have a platform for your passion projects? Then ECOLE might just be the cozy place for you!

ECOLE is a student-run sustainability hub at McGill where facilitators can live, share and organize among their peers. Currently, we are looking for 6 more students to join ECOLE as live-in facilitators for the 2023 - 2024 academic year.

We are looking for activists, organizers, and passionate community builders with the drive to experiment with this unique opportunity in new ways.

In exchange for contributing 10 hours/week to the ECOLE project, your rent at ECOLE (which is situated on University road) will be partially subsidized, and a budget for a personal community project will be provided.

ECOLE values the contributions of people with diverse backgrounds, and we, therefore especially encourage members of marginalized communities to apply. We regret, however, that ECOLE is not wheelchair accessible. To apply, you must be a student at McGill in the Fall 2023 semester.

ECOLE has exciting news… We’re hiring a new program coordinator!

This position is dynamic, flexible, and fun and helps increase awareness of sustainability in the McGill community.

You’ll get to help coordinate a team of 10 unique facilitators who work towards ECOLE’s mandate of “bringing together McGill students, faculty and staff in the pursuit of sustainable living by means of applied student research, alternative education, and community building.”

ECOLE is an ongoing experiment that strives to be a model of urban sustainable living (https://www.ecoleproject.com/about)

**Key details**
- 19 CAD an hour
- 20 hours a week (part-time contract)
- Must be based in Montreal
- Flexible hours (may include some evenings and/or weekends)
