The Segal is proud to present this Dora Wasserman Yiddish Theatre production — a powerful story of Jewish immigrants on New York's Lower East Side in the 1890s, where survival, ambition, and identity collide. Praised as "even deeper than the beloved 1975 movie version" by The Washington Post, Hester Street is an intimate, emotionally charged story about assimilation that still resonates today.

Inspired by the cult 1953 sci-fi classic, It Came from Outer Space blends retro sci-fi flair with self-aware humour. When scientist John Putnam arrives in a quiet desert town claiming aliens have landed, he's dismissed as a crackpot… but the locals soon begin to change in unsettling ways. Where Americana meets alien invasion meets 1950s camp, a wildly entertaining ride awaits.

Inspirée du film culte de 1953, It Came from Outer Space mélange l'esthétique rétro de la sci-fi avec un humour autodérisoire assumé. Lorsque le scientifique John Putnam arrive dans une petite ville du désert en affirmant que des extraterrestres ont atterri, c'est lui qu'on prend pour un hurluberlu. Mais les habitants commencent bientôt à agir de façon inhabituelle… Là où l'Americana rencontre l'invasion extraterrestre et le kitsch des années 50, un spectacle complètement déjanté vous attend.

The show that moved the world is coming to the Segal Centre.
Based on the remarkable true story, Come From Away follows the kind-hearted people of Gander and the 7,000 passengers forced to land there when US airspace closed during the September 11 attacks. As fear gripped the world, this small town turned strangers into family. A celebration of human connection and the extraordinary power of people coming together when it matters most.

Inspirée d'une histoire vraie remarquable, Come From Away raconte comment les habitants de Gander ont accueilli 7 000 passagers lorsque l'espace aérien américain a été fermé lors des attentats du 11 septembre. Alors que la peur envahissait le monde, cette petite communauté a transformé des inconnus en famille. Une célébration de la solidarité et de la force extraordinaire des liens humains.
