Our last publication already being picked up in the TCR-verse.
The secret lives of T cell receptors and their role in the immune response
Canadian immunologists have identified a mechanism that promotes the activation of T cell receptors by altering how one of its components interacts with the cell membrane.

Here it is folks! Many years in the making! Thanks to Audrey Connolly for her perseverance through it all. And to top it off we made the cover story of Science Signaling!
TMEM16F mediates bystander TCR-CD3 membrane dissociation at the immunological synapse and potentiates T cell activation
The cytoplasmic domains of some of the CD3 subunits within the T cell receptor (TCR) complex localize along the inner leaflet of the plasma membrane through electrostatic interactions, thereby inhibiting their phosphorylation and activation. Connolly et al. found that the scramblase TMEM16F, which r...

Bravo à Audrey Connolly, mon étudiante au Ph.D, qui a soutenu sa thèse aujourd'hui et qui a obtenu son doctorat avec mention d'excellence!
Congrats to Audrey Connolly, my Ph.D student, for successfully defending her thesis and being awarded her doctorate with a mention of excellence!

Here is another picture of the team! Angie in the pic this time and Benoit Barrette out with family.
Go team EEJEES! I'm really proud of you all!

Congrats to the EEJEES for finishing their first leg of the Grands Défis this past Sunday. This entailed 10km of running up and down the Mount-Royal, totaling more than 178m in elevation. I am really proud of Jordan Quenneville, Audrey Connolly, Rébecca Panes, and Benoit Berrette for participating in this event. A special thank you to Angélique Bellemare who volunteered her time to help out with the organization by serving breakfast. All and all, 100% of the lab members participated in the year's event, the only lab at the institute to do so.
Thank you all who supported us and the institute with your donations. There is still time to give, to do so, please see an earlier post with all the details.
