This is a fun, hands-on welcome event where you will meet fellow Bieler School of Environment students, connect with professors, and spend the day outdoors making a real difference at the Macdonald Arboretum.
We’ll kick things off by getting to know one another before rolling up our sleeves to tackle one of Quebec’s most notorious invasive plants: buckthorn.
Here’s the basic itinerary:
• 10:00 AM Meet at Downtown Campus*
* students coming from the Macdonald campus will meet at Rowles house at 11:30 AM
• 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM Lunch, introduction and conservation activity
• 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM Tour of Macdonald Campus
• 4:00 Take shuttle back to Downtown Campus return by 5:15 / 5:30
You’ll get a chance to meet fellow new students, some of the MESS execs, and several faculty members! You’ll also get aquatinted with the MacDonald Campus. The link for registration will be in our bio.
We can’t wait to see you all!!! 🌿🌏🫎
