Dear bricobiologists! Calling the scientific community in Montreal: be strong and continue collaborations! If you have an idea on how we can help our community here in Montreal, reach out to us!!
Are you thinking about our cities testing capacity? Thinking about how we can democratize diagnostics? Although we might not have the capacities in our lab to do so, the global DIYBio network is actively working on such things.
An example of one of the many projects you can give your scientific talent to:
JOGL - Just One Giant Lab
JOGL helps sync humanity onto solving our most important social & environmental problems using open science, responsible innovation & continuous learning.

Today, we were featured in a wonderful interview in the Quebec newspaper La Presse! We're happy to be presented to a more local community here in Montréal in their local language and favorite newspaper. And it's a good piece of journalism, featuring our members, Josiah Zayner, Concordia University, Amino Labs, Pili, Open Lab, Hyasynth Bio ....

Nous somme dans La Presse! Qu-est ce que vous pensez du langue, et genre de communication sur la DIYBio de l'article? Une bonne discussion sur la communication scientifique, ça vaut toujours le coup :)

Hey folks! Relaying this message along from DEF CON Biohacking crew! DEF CON is a hacker convention in Las Vegas every year in August. Take a look below!
The DEF CON Biohacking Village is a multi-day biotechnology conference focused on breakthrough DIY, grinder, transhumanist, medical technology, and information security along with its related communities in the open source ecosystem. There have been multiple instances of DIYBio overcoming conventional science. We want to celebrate the biohacker movement with a compendium of talks, demonstrations, along with *new* additions of a wetlab and a medical device to provide the entire ecosystem.
We are leaning into the future through current technology. Heroic efforts of individuals, groups to mature the medical transformation model.
Focus on how to functionally decompose our security and support it
Application, role in healthcare, what it produces, and who are the consumers of this technology of these capabilities.
If you have an interesting idea to present, Call for Presentations are now open for DEF CON 26. We are looking for talks that focus on the following areas:
Internet of Bodies
Artificial Intelligence
Machine Learning
DNA
Self-Injections
Virtual Reality
Software Applications
New Tools
DarkWeb
Disruptive Technology
Prosthetics
