More photos from our exciting Indigo Love of Reading announcement party yesterday!

Students and teachers who helped with the application were invited down to play a few games and enjoy delicious cakes baked by none other than our own Mr. Arnold.

Fun Fact: Our students borrowed an impressive 2,843 books this year—enough to circulate our entire collection once over! That works out to an average of six books per student. We look forward to seeing those numbers grow thanks to this generous contribution. 🩷📚🩷

📣Cat’s out of the bag! We are so thrilled to announce we have been awarded a $20,000 Literacy Fund Grant from Indigo Love of Reading Foundation! The funds will be spent on both high-interest reading materials and books with global perspectives for our secondary one and two students.

Marymount has a diverse student population with many avid readers. We are excited to be able to match students to the literature they love, while introducing them to new books that reflect the wide scope of interests, tastes, and identities alive in our school.

Our school librarian, Mrs. MacIntyre, would like to thank the staff and students who contributed to the application and who work together daily to build a culture of reading at our school. This was a group effort. Thanks to our community members Naomi Balardelle and Simeon Pompey. And a special shout out to Mr. Bunn and Mr. Arnold for going the extra mile.

Yesterday, we held a milestone book launch for Yaakov Mazal’s debut comic, It’s Story Time! The hilarious adventures of Sun, Flower, David and... the Orb!

Yaakov’s creativity and use of bright colours in his artwork reflect his natural storytelling ability and artistic talent. With twists and humour woven throughout the comic, his characters must face challenging moments with strength, courage and wit.

Thank you to our librarian Ms. MacIntyre for publishing the book both online and in print and a special thank you to Ms. Francis for organizing and providing delicious Cheskie’s refreshments enjoyed by all!

What an incredible achievement by this talented student team! 🙌

Their innovative work on “ScreenPath” shows the power of combining compassion, research and technology to address real healthcare inequities in Québec.

We are so proud to see our students recognized with the Voices of Olympia Second Prize of Excellence, along with Jury Mentions.

Congratulations to our students, Ms. Thomakos and their mentor Ms. Kouamé for this outstanding accomplishment! 💙

What an incredible evening at our Spring Concert last Thursday! Our talented students truly shined. From lively performances to heartfelt moments, every note told a story.

We were also treated to a wonderful short play from the Drama Club that had the audience smiling and laughing.

A huge thank you to Ms. Francis and her helpers for guiding and inspiring our students every step of the way. Ms. Francis' dedication and passion made this special event possible.

We are so proud of everyone who performed and helped bring the evening together. Bravo to all!

Over 22 countries represented: On Thursday, we celebrated a meaningful day and a highlight of the year—International Day. 🌍✨

Marymount came alive with music and connection as students proudly dressed in traditional clothing, shared dishes from their cultures, and brought the cafeteria to life with dances and performances. The caf transformed into a beautiful melting pot, where every culture was welcomed and celebrated.

Moments like these remind us how lucky we are to be part of such a diverse and vibrant community. 💙

🩺The MUHC has an excellent opportunity for Secondary IV and V students to explore various careers in a healthcare setting:

The Career Destination program is specifically designed to allow students to discover these professions through pairings with healthcare professionals and activities at the simulation centre.

These activities will take place during the week of July 13 at the Glen site (Vendôme metro station, orange line).

Check out the flyers for more details!
