Hi Montréalers! We are so excited to introduce you to 4Days4Lines, an organization dedicated to monitoring and improving the accessibility of Montréal's neighborhoods. The first major step in their mission is to perform a 4-day accessibility audit of numerous locations around the city between May 5th and 9th. They are currently seeking VOLUNTEERS to sign up for 3-hour shifts (you can sign up for as many as you want!) to collect data about critical accessibility information. You can sign up with friends and/or family, and you'll receive training beforehand to learn about the data collection process. Through this unique opportunity, you can immerse yourself in your neighborhood, learn about barrier-free spaces, and contribute to a future of enhanced possibilities for those with disabilities. REGISTER using this link by APRIL 30th: https://lnkd.in/ehwAdbx
If you have any further questions, feel free to e-mail [email protected] :)

New article from our Education team! Try and get some retrospective one 2020 with our professors' knowledge and analysis

As we venture into 2021, Knowledge Against Panic is taking an opportunity to reflect upon a year of immense change, human adaptation, and collective knowledge-seeking. We created KAP in order to assist McGill students in sifting through an overabundance of misinformation and news regarding some of the world’s most pertinent current events. We aim to bridge the gap between professors and students outside of the traditional classroom -- to spark thought-provoking conversations and harness the power of academic research in order to answer our most burning questions.
In the spirit of continued reflection, KAP asked 5 McGill professors from 3 different faculties to (briefly) reflect upon how COVID-19 has most substantially impacted their field of research and expertise: Amir Taherizadeh, Sébastien Breau, Dr. Richard Roy, Michael Smith, George McCourt. Topics discussed here include economic inequality, molecular biology, labor productivity, and financial investments.

Here's a message from our Social Entrepreneurship- FaisEnPour2 Team!
Faisenpour2 est un mouvement citoyen qui vous invite à cuisiner depuis chez vous afin d’offrir vos repas à des foyers souffrant d’insécurité alimentaire.
Faisenpour2 is planning a distribution this Thursday.
We think it is an excellent opportunity to help others and show solidarity in these difficult times.
To participate, it’s really simple:
- You can cook a meal/desert for someone: It can be a very simple one (pasta, rice…). You will have to specify the ingredients you used on your container.
- You can also help pick up meals by bike on Thursday morning.
As we care for other’s health and your own, you can drop off your meal in front of your door, and the team will come to pick them up contact-free.
A survey will come out at the beginning of the week to register if you are interested.
Thank you in advance for your help. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate.
We hope you are good and well! These days, it is more important than ever for us all to remember the meaning of what being a community is: solidarity.
Have a good day 🙂
