Dear Residence students,
New provincial legislation on the possession of cannabis has come into effect on January 1st, 2020.
In accordance with Quebec’s Cannabis Regulation Act, it is now illegal for anyone under 21 to purchase or possess cannabis. In addition, it is forbidden to smoke or v**e cannabis in any public place, whether indoor or outdoor, including anywhere on McGill property.
