Dans ce cours de peinture acrylique, les étudiant.e.s exploreront la figure humaine non seulement comme un corps, mais comme un vecteur de récit. À travers des projets pratiques et des références issues de l’histoire de l’art, les étudiant.e.s apprendront à situer le corps dans différents contextes et à utiliser la couleur, l’espace et la composition afin d’exprimer une émotion, une identité ou un récit narratif. Ce cours s’adresse à celles et ceux qui souhaitent dépasser les bases du dessin figuratif et expérimenter une pratique plus personnelle et signifiante. Certaines sessions auront des modèles vivants (dont certains modèles nu.e.s) Préalable: un cours de peinture.

In this acrylic painting course, students will explore the human figure not just as a body, but as a way to tell stories. Through hands-on projects and examples from art history, you’ll learn how to place the figure in different settings and use color, space, and composition to express emotion, identity, or narrative. This class is perfect for those who want to move beyond basic figure drawing and experiment with more personal, meaningful artwork. Some sessions will include work from live models (including n**e models). Prerequisites: one painting course.

Depuis plus de 50 ans, l’exposition annuelle des étudiant.e.s du Centre des arts visuels (CAV) souligne le talent des étudiant.e.s de notre école d’art ainsi que la diversité de la production artistique au CAV. La galerie McClure présentera plus d’une centaine d’œuvres d'art dans une grande variété de médiums, y compris la céramique, la joaillerie, les textiles, le dessin, la peinture, le collage, les techniques mixtes et plus encore. Plusieurs des œuvres seront mises en vente, vous donnant la chance d'acquérir une œuvre originale à un prix abordable, et de soutenir un.e artiste montréalais.e émergent.e !

A tradition for over 50 years, the VAC’s annual student exhibition celebrates the talents of students in our School of Art and the diversity of artistic production at the VAC. Over 100 artworks in a wide variety of mediums, including ceramics, jewellery, textiles, drawing, painting, collage, mixed media and more, will be presented in the VAC’s McClure Gallery. Many of the artworks will be offered for sale, giving visitors a chance to acquire an original artwork at a budget-friendly price, and support an emerging Montreal artist!
