A new call for TURBA The Journal for Global Practices in Live Arts Curation: the next issue "Un-Taking Sides" wants to reflect on how curators navigate the increasingly polarized public debates of our day. " How can we let live artists and curators guide thoughts and actions that can construct a common purpose? Where do those who untake sides, who speak for reasonableness, for compromise, for differentiated positions, for another perspective than the antagonism proposed by popular opinions find their voice in live arts expressions? How and where are audiences expressly invited to engage with finely wrought, differentiated, and complex points of view?" If you have something to contribute to this subject, be it an academic article, an essayistic observation, a poem, a letter from a specific city, a reflection on your own practice or on that of a curator you admire - please submit your text to TURBA by Nov 5.

As every year for the last 20 years I have again written a little year end canon for people who love to sing. I wish all of us moments of wisdom, bliss, resilience and gentleness.

If you want to hear what the notes could sound like, here is a link to two simulations: one with only the voice you can see below, and one how it could sound if 4 people sing it.
