Many things change with age, but not always for the worst! As people age, they essentially become language experts. Our lab is currently looking at how older bilingual individuals understand speech. Examples include listening to sentences when there is background noise, or short stories in quiet.

Our studies involve two 2-hour sessions at the Loyola Campus of Concordia University. Sessions will be scheduled at participants' convenience, and free parking is available. Participants will be compensated for their time.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about research on aging!

Have you ever been frustrated when trying to carry on a conversation in a noisy restaurant? Do you find that noise bothers you more now than it did when you were younger?
We are currently looking for participants for a study of speech comprehension in noise. The study involves two 2-hour sessions at our Loyola campus location. Sessions will be scheduled at your convenience, and free parking is available. Participants will be compensated for their time.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about research on aging!

Our lab received exciting news recently! We will be presenting our work at the Cognitive Neuroscience Society's meeting in San Francisco, and the International Symposium of Bilingualism's meeting in Edmonton!

Currently, we are recruiting participants for a study investigating how the brain signals associated with the comprehension of short stories change with age.

We study adult human neuropsychology and the neuropsychology of aging. We are currently seeking healthy participants age 60+ who speak English and French for studies of speech comprehension in aging.
