Sauvons le chœur de la musicothérapie au CUSM - Save Music Therapy Choir at the MUHC

C'est la fin prochaine du chœur MusiArt, de l'Hôpital général de Montréal, en raison d'un manque de financement.
Cette chorale, composée de 25 chanteurs et musiciens, est unique dans le domaine de la santé mentale d'un point de vue créatif : elle consiste à écrire des textes originaux, puis à les intégrer dans la musique. Cela se fait avec l'aide des deux musicothérapeutes responsables.

It is the upcoming end of the MusiArt choir, of the Montreal General Hospital, due to a lack of Funding.
This choir, comprised of 25 singers and musicians, is unique in the Field of Mental Health from a creative perspective: it consists of writing original texts, and then bringing them into music . This is done with the help of the two music therapists in charge.

Congratulations to David Boily, a BRAMS student in Simone Falk's lab, for his presentation on group singing as a way to improve conversational timing management in adults who stutter, at SingWell's Research Symposium 2025!

Une délégation d'Inuinnait de Cambridge Bay, composée notamment d'Emily Angulalik, Gwen Angulalik, Mabel Etegik et Helen Okhina Blewett, a passé la semaine dernière à l'UQAM pour rencontrer le professeur Richard Compton et deux étudiantes de maîtrise, Joanie et Emilie, afin de travailler sur une grammaire communautaire de l'inuinnaqtun et une application de dictionnaire en ligne.

Ne manquez pas J'ai souvenir encore, le documentaire auquel ont participé des membres Laboratoire international de recherche sur le cerveau, la musique et le son (BRAMS), notamment Isabelle Peretz (professeure titulaire, département de Psychologie) ainsi qu’Alex Nieva (agent de recherche, BRAMS) et Clara Ziane (étudiante au doctorat, BRAMS).

L’émission sera diffusée le mardi 2 décembre à 20h00 sur ICI Radio-Canada et ensuite disponible sur le site de Tou.tv.

Une série balado en 4 épisodes sera également disponible sur la plateforme Ohdio à la même date.
