FIT is be comprised of students who wish to introduce their fellow first years to all of the wonderful opportunities the MUS has to offer.
The First Year Involvement Team is a committee comprised of enthusiastic and outgoing first year undergraduate students who are responsible for promoting MUS events and extracurricular activities to other first year students. They will help increase awareness and involvement of first year students by acting as a resource of information for others, planning and promoting events, and act as representatives of the entering class.

Hello, all First Year Management Students! Recruitment for MUS’ First Year Involvement Team – better known as FIT – is here!
Who are we:
FIT is the most important social engagement club in the MUS, focused on creating a social network between first year, upper year and general McGill students. We want you first years to feel a little less new and a little more comfortable being a part of the McGill community. We put on events like Apartment Crawls, Beer Pong Tournaments, and Power Hours. This year, with Covid-19, we are shifting our focus to virtual events like mix-and-mingle Zoom calls, online study groups, and casual information sessions about clubs, internship opportunities, and general advice from older students/alumni. Our goal is to give new students a sense of what it’s really like to be a McGillian and to gain some lifelong friends along the way. We want to do our best in hosting fun, interesting, cool events, and so we are looking for passionate first years who interact well with peers and have some good ideas for this semester.
How you can get involved:
At the end of this message is a Google Form that you must fill out to be eligible for the interview stage. Once you fill this form out to the best of your abilities, the candidates that best fit our team culture and goals will be asked to move on to a short interview. From there, we will choose a team of approximately 25-40 first years to become 2021’s group of Fitties! We are looking for students who like to have fun, appreciate the networking opportunities of FIT, are personable and enthusiastic, and have great ideas for social engagement throughout this Winter Semester. We highly recommend anyone and everyone to apply, as this is one of the most fun, enjoyable experiences you are sure to have in Desautels. Fitties always end up becoming really close friends throughout the process. When applying, be yourself! We want to see your creativity, humour, and personality.
