Awesome weekend. If you really want your kids to enjoy skiing for a lifetime there's no better way than to join a ski club where ski improvement is at the core.

Thrilled to have offered a Ski with a Pro session last night at Springhill Winter Park for members of the the ski school and these hard working folks from the Canadian Ski Patrol System. Proud as an active course conductor of the CSIA AMSC and member of CSIA Central to share the knowledge and passion for skiing with them.

The finish to an amazing three days with CSIA AMSC at The Lake Louise Ski Resort & Summer Gondola. And how could it be anything but impressive when the last session today was with the amazing Misayo Nakamura. As one of the participants said it was like all six of us had a private lesson wrapped up in a group format. This is ski teaching at its finest and it built perfectly on my experiences of the previous two days. Sorry that the picture didn't include our friend Tom DeNardi who had to leave after the morning but at least Gordon Lacoursiere got the afternoon in. So any members of CSIA Central who are interested in really expanding their horizons in the sport make sure to take in this early season tune-up next year and take advantage of any Pro Days or Pro Sessions offered in your region. Living the dream.

TRAVAGLINI, Robert 03/22/2021

A warm tribute after the recent passing of Robert Travaglini (Bobby), who taught skiing for years at Searchmont Resort in Ontario.

A note from his good friend John Woods:
Revered by many. Bobby was pushing 50 years in the CSIA.
He led by example, a great role model and he was quietly Searchmont's ambassador. Bobby was most humble and always had time for his tips du jour.
He gave many an early morning session with the Snow School and held court in the resort hallways sharing advice.
Summers were spent on his pontoon boat or golfing. His partner Lisa was up for any adventure. She became quite the skier keeping up with Bobby!
The lights dimmed in Sault Ste. Marie with Bob's Passing.
Tears,
WOODY
