As part of the Winter 2026 semester, the MBA Case Competition Committee is inviting students to participate in the JMSB Pitch Day, taking place on March 15, 2026 at 10AM.

This is the perfect opportunity to apply your classroom learning to real-world business challenges, test your analytical skills, and experience the thrill of competition in a supportive environment.

Teams for the competition will consist of 3 to 4 members. If you already have a team, please ensure each member registers separately below. If you are signing up as an individual, no problem — we’ll match you with a team so you can take part!🤝

What to expect:
1. Gain valuable insights into case analysis techniques
2. Learn about the SIA (MBA 659) and LIVE Case (MANA 690) courses
3. Be prepared for the upcoming SIA and Live Case Tryouts
4. Guided by Tim Field, our Faculty Advisor

We are thrilled to announce that Jailyn Meade has been appointed as the new President of the JMSB Case Competition Committee for 2026-2027 academic year! 🎉

Jailyn has been an incredible part of our community, bringing dedication, leadership, and a passion for case competitions that inspires everyone around her. We are confident she will lead the committee to even greater success in the coming year. Here is a little message from Jailyn!

👏 Celebrating the hard work and achievements of our MBA students who represented our program at two national case competitions this past month!
🏆 University of Manitoba Asper Business Case Competition
Our MBA team delivered exceptional results across three rounds in a highly competitive field:
🥇 1st place – Research Case
🥇 1st place – Boardroom Case
🥉 3rd place – Traditional 3-hour Case

📍 10th Annual MBA Diversity & Inclusion Case Challenge – University of Ottawa Telfer School of Management
Our team worked on a month-long consulting mandate focused on designing a sourcing and logistics strategy for Portage & Pine Apparel to strengthen resilience, credibility, and inclusion while maintaining financial performance in a volatile global environment.
Team members: Pragya Tiwary, Swapnil Hirani, Jeremie St-Jules Prevost, and Hoda Heli
Coaches: Liane Villemure, Beth Clarke, and Anne Morinville
While both teams did not advance to the final round, they delivered a strong performance after months of preparation that began back in September as part of the Strategies in Action course. Both teams demonstrated incredible dedication, teamwork, and professionalism while representing our MBA program.

So proud of this team for their performance at the University of Calgary Haskayne School of Business Digital Innovation Challenge Case Competition They brought their A-game to Calgary and loved representing the John Molson MBA program. Their preparation began back in September as part of our Strategies in Action course and continued right up to the competition. After receiving the case, this team worked late nights, and put in exceptional effort into this competition.

This international competition included more than 50 teams of undergraduate and graduate students from multiple disciplines and institutions around the world. This year’s research case focused on “Becoming AI-Resilient: Navigating the Undergraduate Experience in an Age of Disruption.”

Please join us in congratulating Omar, Shailesh, Devarsh, and Mahmoud for their excellent work and commitment. Recognition and a big thank you to our coaches Sridharan, Fatima and Jeremy who supported the team’s preparation and participation in the competition.
