CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
Hexagram is currently seeking volunteers to take on various positions during the Re-Create 2015 Media Art Histories Conference (November 5-8), Emerging Researchers’ Symposium (November 4) and satellite events.
Volunteers will be offered one day registration for every 8 hours of commitment + attending the MAH Re-Create 2015 volunteers general meeting on the week of October 5th (date and location to be decided).
Volunteer positions include:
Poster/program distribution before the event;
Processing registration at the registration table;
Monitoring the publications table;
Verifying accreditations;
Answering questions and directing delegates on site;
Setting up the venues (at Coeur des Sciences) at the end of the day in preparation for the next day;
Volunteers must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate academic program at Concordia University, UQAM, McGill University or Université de Montréal.

APPEL AUX BÉNÉVOLES
Hexagram est à la recherche de bénévoles pour jouer des rôles clés lors du colloque Media Art Histories Re-Create 2015 (5-8 novembre), du Symposium des chercheurs émergents (4 novembre), et des activités satellites.
Les bénévoles se verront offrir une inscription d’une journée pour chaque 8 heures d’engagement, et pour leur présence à la réunion générale des bénévoles de MAH Re-Create 2015 durant la semaine du 5 octobre (la date et le local sont à déterminer).
Les tâches des bénévoles incluent :
• La distribution et l’affichage des programmes avant l’évènement;
• Le traitement des inscriptions à la table d’accueil;
• Le gardiennage de la table de publications;
• La vérification des accréditations;
• Répondre aux questions et guider les délégués quant aux différents lieux du colloque;
• La remise en place des espaces, à la fin de chaque journée en préparation pour le
lendemain.
Les bénévoles doivent être inscrits dans un programme de premier ou deuxième cycle à l’Université Concordia, l’Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), l’Université McGill ou l’Université de Montréal.

Film Production is looking for two BFA students to assist at the Open House at Concordia scheduled to take place Saturday Nov. 7, 2015. The students would be at the Film Production program assisting Prof. Dionne with the answering questions from prospective students about the program etc.

Near the end of September 2015, the community-based artist organization Atelier Céladon will be programming a short film screening for Common Aliens: Diaspora Conference 2015 / Étrangers communs: conférence sur la diaspora 2015. Common Aliens is seeking to open a dialogue among various people of colour communities in the North American diaspora through different artistic and educational programs including an exhibition, keynote panel, film programming, workshops, and a fashion pop-up. The film screening is an critical component of the conference in furthering the discussion about diasporic experiences and challenges through filmic representation, and to give platform to stories that are underrepresented. We are striving to collaborate with local and global filmmakers in building a space for sharing and documenting personal experiences of other communities. The film screening date will be confirmed soon, and will present two hours of short films.
