Yes, we’re going to massage people with bamboo. And yes, there’s a very good reason for it.
Thai Royal Bamboo Massage uses heated bamboo tools to create rolling, gliding, kneading and compression techniques that can work deeply into the tissues—without asking your hands and thumbs to do all the work.
And if you’ve been a massage therapist for a while, you already know why that matters.
This October 14th workshop is a full hands-on day where you’ll learn how to properly prepare and heat the bamboo, how the different sizes and shapes are used, and how to actually work with them on the body—not just awkwardly roll a stick around and hope for the best. 😂
We’ll work in both prone and supine positions, explore different techniques and muscle targets, and spend time on the safety and contraindications that come with heated bamboo work.
The goal is for you to leave understanding why you’re using the bamboo, what you’re trying to accomplish with it, and how to make it feel like part of your treatment rather than a gimmick.
