Hier soir, lors de notre événement, une agression verbale a eu lieu à l’entrée envers une personne de notre équipe.

J’ai été témoin direct de la situation. À ce moment, il me semblait manquer des éléments de contexte pour comprendre une telle réaction de la part de cette invitée. Avec le recul et après validation auprès du personnel, des propriétaires et des personnes liées au groupe présent, le constat est unanime : ce comportement était inacceptable, sans nuance.

Nous reconnaissons que notre première décision, laisser entrer cette personne, était une erreur. Dans le moment, certains facteurs liés au contexte (événement dans un lieu où nous étions invités, arrivée avec des personnes connues du staff) ont influencé notre hésitation. Cela ne justifie rien.

Dès que nous avons constaté l’impact sur notre employé, nous avons mis fin à ses fonctions pour le protéger, demandé à la sécurité de surveiller la situation et confirmé avec les propriétaires que nous avions pleine autorité à la porte et que la tolérance devait être zéro.

Nous avons ensuite pris des mesures concrètes : suivi avec notre employée, échanges avec des personnes liées à la situation et consultation avec des ressources externes pour encadrer notre réponse.

Des démarches ont également été entreprises pour contacter l’agresseure. Un appel a été placé à son lieu de travail afin d’obtenir un retour d'appel. Sans réponse au moment de cette publication, un courriel formel sera envoyé.

Nos apprentissages sont clairs : que nous soyons chez nous ou invités, la règle ne change jamais. Aucun lien, aucun contexte, aucune affiliation ne justifie ou n’atténue un comportement agressif.

Tolérance zéro.

This year, I had the incredible opportunity to put into practice everything I learned from and . From theory to reality, produced events that were truly safe spaces, breaking the stigma around nightlife and electronic music, one unforgettable dance at a time.

We launched and brought our Canadian Premier Networking Event to ADE for the first time! This wouldn't have been possible without the incredible support of Haylin Neal at .center, , and .music.

Using Vollou's technology, we monitored and demonstrated that it's possible to capture accurate data during DJ sets, providing real insights into what's actually being played at festivals and clubs.

The Underground Dance Recording of the Year committee that helped me form reached out to 300+ Canadian underground producers, dramatically increasing awareness around the category .
