The only bilingual school in Parc-Extension Sinclair Laird School was built in 1956 and first opened its doors on January 30th 1957.
Located in the heart of Park Extension, the school was named after Sinclair Laird (1884-1954), the former Dean of School for Teachers at McDonald College and McGill University from 1913-1949. Today, the school continues to grow as it welcomed a new extension in 1999 to better serve its population: children from Pre-Kindergarten through to Grade 6. Our little gardeners have been busy 🌱
Grade 2 students planted bean plants and learned about the stages of a plant’s life cycle — and they’re already sprouting! 🌿🫘 We’re looking forward to watching them continue to grow over the next few weeks!✨

The first crewed deep-space flight in over 50 years, Artemis II is expected to send the crew farther from Earth than any previous human mission, potentially breaking the record of about 248,655 miles (400,171 km) from Earth set by Apollo 13 during its lunar free-return trajectory.
