The Monster Science comic book just received an Illustration award for best illustration in the Graphic Novel genre!

This award mostly belongs to Anna Pomelova | Illustrator for her incredible art. She is an amazing illustrator who managed to take my stick figures explanations and create this amazing comic book. I can't thank you enough for making this comic book what it is.

I can't wait to continue working with you! ❤️

This is not a fun video to make, but I also need to be real about what the science environment looks like sometimes.

I do not want to generalize, but it is quite unfortunate that a big part of academia is based on racism, discrimination, elitism and sexism. And it is even worse that universities and the entire system just keep these people in their role "because they are good scientists".

As a person who has suffered from an abusive lab employer, and having seen (and currently seeing) friends experience the same thing, I just can't believe how these things keep happening.

I want to inspire kids to become scientists, but how can I do this if the environment is not welcoming, nor inclusive nor accessible. And on top of all of that, it has abusive behaviors?!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE receiving videos like this one!
I love it when people share their kids (or grandkids in this case!) reading my science comic book, it just fills my heart and soul with love, passion and more motivation to publish other books!

I am so excited for this Saturday!

I was invited to be part of Jamaica Day, here in Montreal!

I will be doing a science workshop with the kids from 2-3pm and then I will be selling the comic books until 8pm!

Sometimes it becomes a bit difficult to recognize everything we've done, especially if our head is on the to-do list.

Maybe it's time to start recognizing a bit of it!

Science becomes boring and unreachable when we try to explain EVERYTHING... And it becomes even more difficult when we use textbooks and jargon.

Instead, I came up with the FunSci Framework, a 4 step strategy to reduce complexity without losing accuracy.
