Life is too short to be subtle... This is a couch surfing request.

As my family is in the middle of a major health situation, there is a lot of uncertainty. I would love to attend the Sexual Health Alliance conference BUT there is the very real possibility that things take a turn for the worse and I have to cancel last minute. So I would rather not invest in things that are not refundable and expensive like hotels.

So if you are in Denver or know someone who is and can accomodate me and my very heavy luggage full of silicon models please let me know. I'll be in and out for the time of the conference and can bring maple syrup or any goods you might want from Montreal.

Business hurdles that are difficult to imagine for anyone who is not in the women's health sector :

TODAY: BANK AND INSURANCE DENIAL. 😑

Oh... to be back to that moment when I had to explain to different insurance brokers the nature of my project...had I known before, I would have recorded it for posterity! At the end it was not so bad BUT I had to certify that the material I create was not sold for "fun adult reasons". Because if it was, the annual cost of the insurance would have been tenfold. Well, on the bright side, they were not denying it.

But a couple of months ago, I was slapped with BANK PAYMENT DENIAL because of the "nature of my business" - Which is let's remind ourselves to create anatomical models for health and education professionals. For years, allowed me to receive credit card payment in several currency. But this summer it stopped. I appealed. Did not even get an answer.

Think I am the only one? Nonono... released a thing about it .Many of us are impacted by those policies that makes no sense but have real consequences on our businesses.

Next post, next adventure...How my own email provider is regularly blocking me from sending emails from my inbox as they are considered spam... 😅 🙄

Request I received this summer from health professionals : Hollowed realistic vadg/na for physicians to demonstrate how to insert a hormonal ring to their patients. Pharmaceutic company, USA

There are so many needs for realistic, below-the-belt anatomical models. Sadly, medical model makers mostly skip those parts. Or stop at birthing models. But people have all the body parts and sometimes those parts need intervention and care. And good care comes with good training. And training requires models.

So, what are we doing? Are we keeping on pretending that there is no need for those types of models? Messages I receive are a proof to the contrary. But one person alone in a workshop can't make it all. We need funding, designers, people who coordinate the creation of models based on the expressed needs of professionals.

So, model making companies, are you going to close the gap and create the models professionals need? Or are we going to keep on ignoring below-the-belt anatomy and the needs of care professionals and patients alike?

Request I received this summer from health professionals : Simulator models with retractable fo****in, that can be attached to one’s body to teach staff how to bathe the sick and elderly. Nurse, Canada

There are so many needs for realistic, below-the-belt anatomical models. Sadly, medical model makers mostly skip those parts. Or stop at birthing models. But people have all the body parts and sometimes those parts need intervention and care. And good care comes with good training. And training requires models.

So, what are we doing? Are we keeping on pretending that there is no need for those types of models? Messages I receive are a proof to the contrary. But one person alone in a workshop can't make it all. We need funding, designers, people who coordinate the creation of models based on the expressed needs of professionals.

So, model making companies, are you going to close the gap and create the models professionals need? Or are we going to keep on ignoring below-the-belt anatomy and the needs of care professionals and patients alike?

This is just some comments I received but I would like to collect more of them so I have enough material to write strong demands for grants.

Because money-wise, I am stalling. For years, profits from Projet SEX-ED + Project have been reinvested in this part of the project, as well as countless volunteer hours. To an estimated value of $150,000$. But it is not completed. There are currently about 15 casts waiting to be 3D scanned, and I still need to collect more body types (phalloplasties, variations of segsual development and p3nis with Peyrone's) to have an actual representativity of the diversity of ge***als. Still some way to go!
