Anna Tsing is a world-renowned expert in environmental studies. In this interdisciplinary talk, titled Capitalism After Progress: Salvage Accumulation on Blasted Landscapes, she addresses sustainability and the present-day state of Canada’s capitalist system.

Learning objectives:

• To realize that a capitalist system can co-exist with environmentally responsible practices.

Harvard Students Vote to Divest From Fossil Fuels Harvard University students overwhelmingly voted in support of divesting from fossil fuels on Friday, an act that adds the university to a nascent but growing movement modeled after the anti-apartheid divestment campaigns of the 80s.
